"My womb is the great Brahman (prakriti); in that I place the seed; from that arises the birth of all beings, O Bharata."

Krishna describes cosmic creation: prakriti (nature) is like a womb, God places the seed of consciousness, and from this union all beings are born. Matter and spirit combine to produce life.
