"Different from and within this vital sheath is another inner self made of mind. By that, this is filled. This also has human form. The Yajur Veda is its head. The Rig Veda is the right wing. The Sama Veda is the left wing. Instructions are the trunk. The Atharvangirasa is the tail, the foundation."

What This Means:

Inside the energy body is the Manomaya kosha - the mental body. Its parts are the four Vedas, showing that mind is structured by sacred knowledge.

Going Deeper:

The mental sheath is composed of the Vedas - showing that our thoughts are shaped by the wisdom we absorb. The mind is a product of what we learn.

How To Apply This:

Your mind is shaped by what you study. Fill it with wisdom (the Vedas) rather than trivial content.
