आवहन्ती वितन्वाना कुर्वाणा चीरमात्मनः। वासांसि मम गावश्च अन्नपाने च सर्वदा। ततो मे श्रियमावह। लोमशां पशुभिः सह स्वाहा।

āvahantī vitanvānā kurvāṇā cīramātmanaḥ | vāsāṃsi mama gāvaśca annapāne ca sarvadā | tato me śriyamāvaha | lomaśāṃ paśubhiḥ saha svāhā |

"May Shri (prosperity) come to me, bringing, expanding, creating lasting wealth for myself - clothing, cows, food and drink always. Therefore bring me prosperity, wool and cattle. Svaha!"

What This Means:

The student prays for material prosperity alongside spiritual knowledge - clothing, food, cattle (wealth). Spirituality does not mean poverty.

Going Deeper:

The Vedic worldview integrates material and spiritual well-being. Artha (wealth) is one of the four legitimate goals of life.

How To Apply This:

It is appropriate to pray for prosperity to support your spiritual practice. Material and spiritual are not opposed.
