"May students come to me. May students come abundantly. May students come forward. May students have self-control. May students have peace."
What This Means:
A teacher's prayer for students: may they come, may they be numerous, may they be eager, self-controlled, and peaceful.
Going Deeper:
The guru tradition depends on worthy students. This prayer acknowledges the teacher's need for disciples to whom knowledge can be transmitted.
How To Apply This:
Teachers need students as much as students need teachers. The tradition continues through this sacred relationship.
