"Lightness, health, freedom from greed, clearness of complexion, pleasantness of voice, agreeable odor, and reduced excretions - these are said to be the first signs of progress in yoga."
What This Means:
Early signs of yoga progress: you feel light, become healthy, lose greed, your complexion clears, voice becomes pleasant, body odor improves, and waste reduces.
Going Deeper:
These physical signs indicate that yoga is working. They are objective markers of practice efficacy - not just subjective feelings.
How To Apply This:
Look for these signs in your practice: lightness, health, reduced cravings, improved appearance and voice. They indicate real progress.
