व्रात्यस्त्वं प्राणैकर्षिरत्ता विश्वस्य सत्पतिः। वयमाद्यस्य दातारः पिता त्वं मातरिश्व नः॥

vrātyastvaṃ prāṇaikarṣirattā viśvasya satpatiḥ | vayamādyasya dātāraḥ pitā tvaṃ mātariśva naḥ ||

""You are the wandering ascetic, O Prana, the one seer, the consumer, the true lord of the world. We are the givers of the primary (offering); you, O Matarishvan, are our father.""

What This Means:

Prana is called our father, the lord of truth, the wanderer who consumes and sustains all. We can only offer back what Prana gives.

Going Deeper:

Matarishvan is another name for Vayu/Prana. The acknowledgment of Prana as father shows recognition of the source of all life.

How To Apply This:

Recognize that everything you give comes first from Prana. You can only return what was given.
