"Taking the great weapon of the Upanishad as a bow, place on it the arrow sharpened by meditation. Drawing it with a mind absorbed in That, pierce the target - the Imperishable, O gentle one!"

What This Means:

The Upanishad is your bow. The arrow is your Self, sharpened by meditation. Draw with focused mind. Your target is the Imperishable - hit it!

Going Deeper:

This is one of the most famous meditation instructions. The Upanishadic teaching is the bow, the Self is the arrow, Brahman is the target.

How To Apply This:

Sharpen yourself through meditation. Focus completely. Pierce through to the eternal.
