Maitri Upaniṣad 6.34

"The mind is said to be of two kinds - pure and impure."

What This Means:

There are two states of mind - one that is pure and conducive to realization, one that is impure and causes bondage.

Going Deeper:

The impure mind is full of desires and aversions; the pure mind is transparent to the Self.

How To Apply This:

Work to purify your mind through right action, right thought, and meditation.
