यद्वत्खलु कर्माभिभूतो विशति गर्भे तद्वद्विद्याभिभूतो विमुच्यते।
yadvatkalu karmābhibhūto viśati garbhe tadvadvidyābhibhūto vimucyate |
Paraphrase of Maitri Upaniṣad 3.2
"Just as one overpowered by karma enters the womb, so one overpowered by knowledge is liberated."

Just as karma binds and causes rebirth, so knowledge liberates and ends the cycle.
