""When all desires that dwell in the heart are released, then the mortal becomes immortal and attains Brahman here.""

What This Means:

When all desires in the heart are let go, the mortal becomes immortal and realizes Brahman - right here, in this life.

Going Deeper:

Desire is the root of mortality. Its complete release brings immortality - not after death, but "atra" (here, now).

How To Apply This:

Release desires from your heart. Immortality isn't after death - it's available now.
