""One who has performed the Nachiketa fire three times, being united with the three (mother, father, teacher), performing the three duties, crosses over birth and death. Knowing the adorable, divine, born of Brahman, one attains eternal peace.""

What This Means:

Yama explains the fruits of this sacrifice: one who performs it properly transcends the cycle of birth and death and attains lasting peace.

Going Deeper:

The "three" refers to multiple triads - relationships (parents, teacher), actions (study, sacrifice, charity), or the three Vedas.

How To Apply This:

Honoring your relationships and duties is part of the spiritual path, not separate from it.
