Katha Upanishad 1.18
intermediate
triṇāciketastrayametadviditvā ya evaṃ vidvāṃścinute nāciketam | sa mṛtyupāśānpurataḥ praṇodya śokātigo modate svargaloke ||
""One who knows these three, and with this knowledge builds the Nachiketa fire, throws off the bonds of death, passes beyond sorrow, and rejoices in heaven.""
What This Means:
The reward for this knowledge and practice is freedom from death's grip and attainment of heavenly joy.
Going Deeper:
But notice - this is still heavenly joy, not ultimate liberation. The third boon will go even further.
How To Apply This:
Religious practices bring peace and heavenly rewards. But is there something even beyond heaven?
