""Sip from this end. How is it?" "Salt." "Sip from the middle. How is it?" "Salt." "Sip from that end. How is it?" "Salt." "Throw it away and come to me." He did so, and the salt persisted. The father said: "You do not perceive Being here, dear one, yet it is right here.""
What This Means:
The salt is everywhere in the water - taste from any end, it's there. The father says: You don't see Being, but it's everywhere like this.
Going Deeper:
Being (Sat) pervades all existence like salt in water. It cannot be isolated or found in one place - it is everywhere.
How To Apply This:
Like salt in water, Being pervades everything you experience. You don't see it, but it's always there.
