"He went at age twelve and returned at twenty-four, having studied all the Vedas, conceited, considering himself learned, and stiff with pride. His father said to him:"

What This Means:

Shvetaketu returned after 12 years of study, having learned all the Vedas. But he was proud and arrogant about his learning.

Going Deeper:

Book knowledge without humility is incomplete. Shvetaketu knew the texts but not the essence. His father will reveal what was missed.

How To Apply This:

Learning can inflate the ego. True wisdom brings humility, not pride.
