"The eyes opened; from them came sight; from sight came the Sun. The ears opened; from them came hearing; from hearing came the Directions. The skin emerged; from skin came hair; from hair came plants and trees. The heart opened; from it came mind; from mind came the Moon."
What This Means:
Each organ of the cosmic Person connects to a cosmic reality: eyes to the Sun (both illuminate), ears to the Directions (sound reveals space), skin/hair to vegetation, and mind to the Moon (both wax and wane, both reflect light).
Going Deeper:
This establishes the profound teaching that microcosm mirrors macrocosm. The Sun that lights the world outside is the same power that enables your seeing. The mind's fluctuating nature mirrors the Moon's phases. We are not separate from the cosmos.
How To Apply This:
When you look at the Sun, realize that same light-principle operates as your vision. When you notice your mind waxing and waning like the Moon, don't be disturbed — it's natural. You are the cosmos in miniature.
