Gita 9.11
अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम्।
परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम्।।
avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣīṁ tanum āśritam paraṁ bhāvam ajānanto mama bhūta-maheśvaram
"Fools disregard Me when I appear in human form, not knowing My supreme nature as the Great Lord of all beings."
What This Means:
When God appears as human, fools dismiss Him. They see only the human form, missing the supreme nature within. This is the tragedy of incarnation—proximity doesn't guarantee recognition.
Going Deeper:
This applies beyond Krishna. The divine often appears in 'ordinary' forms—teachers, circumstances, people. Those looking only at surfaces miss what's looking back at them.
How To Apply This:
Don't judge by appearances. The person in front of you might be carrying something sacred. The situation you're in might be teaching you something divine. Look deeper than form.
