Gita 8.16
आब्रह्मभुवनाल्लोकाः पुनरावर्तिनोऽर्जुन।
मामुपेत्य तु कौन्तेय पुनर्जन्म न विद्यते।।
ā-brahma-bhuvanāl lokāḥ punar āvartino 'rjuna mām upetya tu kaunteya punar janma na vidyate
"All worlds up to Brahma's realm are subject to return, O Arjuna. But having attained Me, O son of Kunti, there is no rebirth."
What This Means:
Even the highest heavens—including Brahma's realm—involve eventual return. Only reaching Krishna ends the cycle completely. No heaven is permanent; only the Supreme is.
Going Deeper:
This is crucial: heavenly attainment isn't final liberation. Even the creator god's realm (Brahmaloka) is within samsara. The cycles continue until one reaches the transcendent source itself.
How To Apply This:
Don't settle for temporary upgrades. Better circumstances, even heavenly ones, aren't the ultimate goal. Seek what doesn't end, not just what's better than now.
