Gita 7.14
दैवी ह्येषा गुणमयी मम माया दुरत्यया।
मामेव ये प्रपद्यन्ते मायामेतां तरन्ति ते।।
daivī hy eṣā guṇa-mayī mama māyā duratyayā mām eva ye prapadyante māyām etāṁ taranti te
"This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes, is very difficult to overcome. But those who surrender unto Me cross over this illusion."
What This Means:
Maya (illusion) is powerful—'duratyaya' (hard to cross). Don't underestimate it. But there's a simple solution: surrender to Krishna. Those who do cross over maya like crossing a river.
Going Deeper:
Note: maya is called 'divine' (daivi)—it's not evil, just concealing. And it's Krishna's own energy, which means He controls it. Surrender to Him, and His maya parts like waters for His devotee.
How To Apply This:
You can't intellectually 'figure out' your way past illusion—it's too powerful. But you can surrender. Devotion accomplishes what mere thinking cannot. Let go and let a higher power help.
