Gita 5.17
तद्बुद्धयस्तदात्मानस्तन्निष्ठास्तत्परायणाः। गच्छन्त्यपुनरावृत्तिं ज्ञाननिर्धूतकल्मषाः।।

tad-buddhayas tad-ātmānas tan-niṣṭhās tat-parāyaṇāḥ gacchanty apunar-āvṛttiṁ jñāna-nirdhūta-kalmaṣāḥ

"Those whose intellect is absorbed in That, whose self is That, who are established in That, devoted to That—their impurities washed away by knowledge—they go to the state of no return."

What This Means:

Those whose entire being is absorbed in the Supreme—intellect, identity, commitment, devotion—all focused on That—they're purified by knowledge and reach the state from which there's no return to the cycle of rebirth. Total absorption leads to total liberation.

Going Deeper:

Four levels of absorption: 'tad-buddhi' (intellect in That), 'tad-atma' (self identified as That), 'tan-nishtha' (established in That), 'tat-parayana' (devoted to That). With 'jnana-nirdhuta-kalmasha' (impurities washed by knowledge), they reach 'apunar-avritti' (no return). This is moksha—permanent liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth.

How To Apply This:

Make the Supreme your sole focus: let your thinking be about That, your identity be That, your foundation be That, your devotion be to That. This isn't fanaticism but total integration. When every part of you points in the same direction, liberation is assured.
