sañjaya uvāca ity ahaṁ vāsudevasya pārthasya ca mahātmanaḥ saṁvādam imam aśrauṣam adbhutaṁ roma-harṣaṇam
"Sanjaya said: Thus I have heard this wonderful dialogue between Vasudeva and the great-souled Partha, which makes the hair stand on end."
What This Means:
Sanjaya tells Dhritarashtra: I have heard this amazing conversation between Krishna and the noble Arjuna. It's so wonderful it makes my hair stand on end with spiritual ecstasy.
Going Deeper:
The narrative frame returns. Sanjaya, given divine vision by Vyasa, has witnessed this 'adbhutam' (wonderful) 'samvadam' (dialogue). 'Roma-harshana' - causing horripilation - indicates the profound spiritual impact. Even as a witness, Sanjaya is transformed by hearing. This models how we too can benefit from hearing the Gita.
How To Apply This:
When spiritual truth moves you so deeply that you feel it physically - that's the sign of genuine transmission. Be open to such transformative encounters.
