Gita 11.8
न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टुमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा।
दिव्यं ददामि ते चक्षुः पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम्।।
na tu māṁ śakyase draṣṭum anenaiva sva-cakṣuṣā divyaṁ dadāmi te cakṣuḥ paśya me yogam aiśvaram
"But you cannot see Me with your ordinary eyes. I give you divine sight. Behold My majestic yoga!"
What This Means:
Ordinary eyes can't see this—so Krishna gives Arjuna 'divine eyes' (divya chakshus). Special capacity is required for special vision. Only then: 'Behold My majestic yoga!'
Going Deeper:
This is crucial: cosmic vision requires cosmic eyes. Human equipment is inadequate. Grace provides what nature lacks. The seeing organ must match what is to be seen.
How To Apply This:
You can't see the Divine with ordinary perception. Grace gives the eyes needed. Prepare yourself, but know that the actual capacity to perceive comes as gift, not achievement.
