Gita 11.52
श्रीभगवानुवाच।
सुदुर्दर्शमिदं रूपं दृष्टवानसि यन्मम।
देवा अप्यस्य रूपस्य नित्यं दर्शनकाङ्क्षिणः।।
śrī-bhagavān uvāca su-durdarśam idaṁ rūpaṁ dṛṣṭavān asi yan mama devā apy asya rūpasya nityaṁ darśana-kāṅkṣiṇaḥ
"The Supreme Lord said: This form of Mine that you have seen is very difficult to behold. Even the gods are constantly longing to see this form."
What This Means:
Krishna confirms how rare this was: this form is 'su-durdarsham' (very hard to see). Even the GODS constantly long to see it. Arjuna received what gods desire.
Going Deeper:
Divine beings themselves lack access to what Arjuna saw. The vision wasn't just unusual—it was supremely rare, beyond what even celestial beings attain. Arjuna's privilege is cosmic.
How To Apply This:
Some experiences are given to human devotees that even 'higher' beings don't receive. Don't assume spiritual hierarchy is simple. Devotion can exceed divine status.
Key Sanskrit Terms:
Su-durdarśa= Very hard to seeDarśana-kāṅkṣin= Longing to see
