sañjaya uvāca ity arjunaṁ vāsudevas tathokvā svakaṁ rūpaṁ darśayām āsa bhūyaḥ āśvāsayām āsa ca bhītam enaṁ bhūtvā punaḥ saumya-vapur mahātmā
"Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus to Arjuna, Vasudeva showed His own form again. The Great Soul, assuming once more His gentle form, reassured the frightened one."
What This Means:
Sanjaya reports: Krishna showed His 'own' (svaka) form again—the 'gentle' (saumya) form—and reassured the frightened Arjuna. The terrifying vision is over.
Going Deeper:
The word 'svaka' (own) suggests the gentle human form is also Krishna's true form, not less real than the cosmic one. Both are authentic. And comfort follows terror.
How To Apply This:
The gentle face of the Divine is as true as the terrifying one. Don't think only the overwhelming form is 'real.' The comforting presence is equally genuine.
