Gita 11.15

arjuna uvāca paśyāmi devāṁs tava deva dehe sarvāṁs tathā bhūta-viśeṣa-saṅghān brahm āṇam īśaṁ kamalāsana-stham ṛṣīṁś ca sarvān uragāṁś ca divyān

"Arjuna said: O Lord, I see in Your body all the gods and hosts of various beings—Brahma the creator seated on his lotus, all the sages, and divine serpents."

What This Means:

Arjuna begins describing: all gods, all types of beings, Brahma the creator on his lotus throne, all the sages, divine serpents. Everything exists within this one form.

Going Deeper:

Even Brahma (the creator god) is WITHIN Krishna's body. The hierarchy of divinity is displayed: Krishna contains those who others might consider supreme. Brahma is a resident, not the host.

How To Apply This:

Even what seems ultimate may be contained in something greater. Don't mistake any particular divine form for the absolute. Keep looking beyond every limited conception.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Brahma= Creator godKamalāsana= Seated on lotusUraga= Serpents
