Gita 1.7
अस्माकं तु विशिष्टा ये तान्निबोध द्विजोत्तम। नायका मम सैन्यस्य संज्ञार्थं तान्ब्रवीमि ते।।

asmākaṁ tu viśiṣṭā ye tān nibodha dvijottama nāyakā mama sainyasya saṁjñārthaṁ tān bravīmi te

"But know also, O best of Brahmins, the distinguished commanders of my army. I shall name them for your information."

What This Means:

Having worried about the enemy, Duryodhana now tries to reassure himself (and Drona) by listing his own champions. 'But wait, look at who WE have!' He's seeking comfort in his own strength.

Going Deeper:

Addressing Drona as 'dvijottama' (best of Brahmins) is strategic flattery. Duryodhana is working to secure Drona's full commitment to the fight.

How To Apply This:

After acknowledging challenges, it's natural to remind yourself of your strengths. Just ensure this isn't denial or false confidence, but genuine assessment of your resources.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Dvijottama= Best of the twice-born (Brahmins)Nayaka= Leader, commander
