Gita 1.8
भवान्भीष्मश्च कर्णश्च कृपश्च समितिञ्जयः। अश्वत्थामा विकर्णश्च सौमदत्तिस्तथैव च।।

bhavān bhīṣmaś ca karṇaś ca kṛpaś ca samitiñjayaḥ aśvatthāmā vikarṇaś ca saumadattis tathaiva ca

"Yourself, Bhishma, Karna, Kripa the victorious in battle, Ashvatthama, Vikarna, and Somadatta's son."

What This Means:

Duryodhana lists his champions: Drona himself, the invincible Bhishma, the mighty Karna, and other great warriors. These are legendary fighters, each capable of turning the tide of battle.

Going Deeper:

Interestingly, Duryodhana lists Drona first ('yourself'), a subtle form of flattery. Bhishma and Karna, though on the same side, have personal conflicts. This army has internal tensions that will affect the war.

How To Apply This:

Having talented people on your team matters, but so does their ability to work together. Notice if internal conflicts might undermine collective strength.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Bhishma= The grandfather, bound by his vow to protect the throneKarna= Great warrior, rival of Arjuna
