Gita 1.6
युधामन्युश्च विक्रान्त उत्तमौजाश्च वीर्यवान्।
सौभद्रो द्रौपदेयाश्च सर्व एव महारथाः।।
yudhāmanyuś ca vikrānta uttamaujāś ca vīryavān saubhadro draupadeyāś ca sarva eva mahā-rathāḥ
"The courageous Yudhamanyu, the valiant Uttamauja, the son of Subhadra, and the sons of Draupadi—all great chariot warriors."
What This Means:
More warriors are listed, including Abhimanyu (son of Subhadra and Arjuna) and the five sons of Draupadi. Duryodhana notes they are all 'maharathas'—elite warriors capable of fighting thousands.
Going Deeper:
The mention of the sons of Draupadi is significant. These young princes will die in this war, killed deceitfully while sleeping. The tragedy hasn't happened yet, but the seeds are being sown.
How To Apply This:
Before any conflict, consider who will be affected beyond the main parties. Wars impact generations. What 'sons and daughters' might suffer from conflicts you engage in?
Key Sanskrit Terms:
Saubhadra= Son of Subhadra (Abhimanyu)Draupadeyah= Sons of Draupadi
