Gita 1.19
स घोषो धार्तराष्ट्राणां हृदयानि व्यदारयत्। नभश्च पृथिवीं चैव तुमुलोऽभ्यनुनादयन्।।

sa ghoṣo dhārtarāṣṭrāṇāṁ hṛdayāni vyadārayat nabhaś ca pṛthivīṁ caiva tumulo 'bhyanunādayan

"That tumultuous sound pierced the hearts of Dhritarashtra's sons, resounding through earth and sky."

What This Means:

The Pandava response is so powerful that it 'pierces the hearts' of the Kauravas. The sound fills earth and sky—an overwhelming display of unity and strength that shakes the enemy's confidence.

Going Deeper:

Sound can pierce hearts. This verse describes psychological warfare. Before the battle, the Kauravas are already spiritually defeated. Their doubt ('pierced hearts') will manifest as defeat in battle.

How To Apply This:

Confidence is contagious, but so is doubt. When facing opposition, present a united front. Division and doubt in opponents often precede their practical defeat.
