Gita 1.18
द्रुपदो द्रौपदेयाश्च सर्वशः पृथिवीपते।
सौभद्रश्च महाबाहुः शङ्खान्दध्मुः पृथक्पृथक्।।
drupado draupadeyāś ca sarvaśaḥ pṛthivī-pate saubhadraś ca mahā-bāhuḥ śaṅkhān dadhmuḥ pṛthak pṛthak
"Drupada, the sons of Draupadi, and the mighty-armed son of Subhadra—all blew their respective conches, O King."
What This Means:
Sanjaya addresses Dhritarashtra ('O King') as he describes more conches sounding. Drupada (Draupadi's father), her five sons, and Abhimanyu (Arjuna's son) all join the call to battle.
Going Deeper:
Multiple generations are present—fathers, sons, grandsons. This family war will affect three generations. The tragedy deepens when we realize many of these young warriors will not survive.
