तिरश्चीनो विततो रश्मिरेषामधः स्विदासी३दुपरि स्विदासी३त् । रेतोधा आसन् महिमान आसन् त्स्वधा अवस्तात्प्रयतिः परस्तात् ॥

tiraścīno vitato raśmireṣāmadhaḥ svidāsī dupari svidāsīt | retodhā āsan mahimāna āsan tsvadhā avastātprayatiḥ parastāt ||

Their ray was extended across — Was it below? Was it above? There were seed-placers, there were powers. Self-power below, impulse above.

What This Means:

A creative ray stretched across the primordial state, though whether it went up or down couldn't be determined. Creative forces and great powers existed, with inherent nature below and creative impulse above.

Going Deeper:

The verse describes the differentiation within the One — the emergence of polarity and creative tension. The horizontal ray suggests manifestation into extension. The uncertainty of "above" and "below" shows that spatial orientation emerged along with creation.

How To Apply This:

Creation involves tension between receptive and active forces. In your own creative work, balance grounding (below) with aspiration (above). Both are needed.
