अग्ने यं यज्ञमध्वरं विश्वतः परिभूरसि । स इद्देवेषु गच्छति ॥

agne yaṃ yajñam adhvaraṃ viśvataḥ paribhūr asi | sa id deveṣu gacchati ||

O Agni, the sacrifice which you encompass on every side — that indeed goes to the gods.

What This Means:

Whatever sacrifice Agni surrounds and protects reaches the gods. Agni's presence validates and completes the ritual. Without fire, the offering cannot reach its divine destination.

Going Deeper:

"Viśvataḥ paribhūḥ" (encompassing on all sides) shows Agni as the protective circle around the sacred space. The sacrifice exists within the embrace of fire. This is both physical (the fire altar) and metaphysical (divine protection of the ritual).

How To Apply This:

Create sacred space around your important activities. What you protect and contain can reach its goal. Boundaries and focus are necessary for offerings to be received.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

adhvara= sacrifice, non-violent ritualviśvataḥ= from all sides, everywhereparibhū= encompassing, surrounding
