oṃ brahmavidāpnoti param | tadeṣābhyuktā | satyaṃ jñānamanantaṃ brahma | yo veda nihitaṃ guhāyāṃ parame vyoman | so'śnute sarvānkāmānsaha brahmaṇā vipaściteti |
"OM. The knower of Brahman attains the Supreme. On this, there is the verse: Brahman is Truth, Knowledge, and Infinite. One who knows It as hidden in the cave of the heart, in the supreme space, realizes all desires together with Brahman, the wise one."
What This Means:
The central definition: Brahman is sat (truth/reality), jnana (consciousness/knowledge), and ananta (infinite). It is hidden in the heart and grants all wishes.
Going Deeper:
This is one of the most important Upanishadic definitions. Brahman has three essential attributes: real existence, pure consciousness, and infinitude. Knowing this brings ultimate fulfillment.
How To Apply This:
Seek what is true, conscious, and infinite - that is Brahman in your own heart. All desires are fulfilled in that realization.
