यस्य देवे परा भक्तिर्यथा देवे तथा गुरौ। तस्यैते कथिता ह्यर्थाः प्रकाशन्ते महात्मनः॥

yasya deve parā bhaktiryathā deve tathā gurau | tasyaite kathitā hyarthāḥ prakāśante mahātmanaḥ ||

"To one who has supreme devotion to God, and as much devotion to the guru as to God, to that great soul, these teachings become illumined."

What This Means:

For someone with supreme devotion to God and equal devotion to their teacher, these teachings shine forth and become clear.

Going Deeper:

The final verse emphasizes bhakti as the key that unlocks understanding. Equal reverence to God and guru ensures proper reception of knowledge.

How To Apply This:

Cultivate equal devotion to God and teacher. With this devotion, teachings that seemed obscure become self-evident.
