स्वभावमेके कवयो वदन्ति कालं तथान्ये परिमुह्यमानाः। देवस्यैष महिमा तु लोके येनेदं भ्राम्यते ब्रह्मचक्रम्॥
svabhāvameke kavayo vadanti kālaṃ tathānye parimuhyamānāḥ | devasyaiṣa mahimā tu loke yenedaṃ bhrāmyate brahmacakram ||
"Some wise ones speak of inherent nature as the cause, others of time - all bewildered. But it is the greatness of God in the world by which this wheel of Brahman revolves."
What This Means:
Some say nature is the cause, others say time - all are confused. Actually, it is God's greatness that turns this wheel of existence.
Going Deeper:
The chapter opens by rejecting materialist (svabhava) and fatalist (kala) explanations. Behind all apparent causes is God's power.
How To Apply This:
Don't get caught up in partial explanations. Behind nature and time is the Divine power that makes everything move.
