"He who is connected with the qualities, who is the doer of action and its fruits, the experiencer of what is done - he, of universal form, three-natured, three-pathed, the lord of pranas, wanders according to his actions."

What This Means:

The individual soul is connected to qualities, performs actions, experiences results. Of many forms, with three natures and paths, the soul wanders according to karma.

Going Deeper:

This describes the jiva (individual soul) bound by gunas and karma. Three natures = sattva, rajas, tamas. Three paths = of gods, fathers, beings.

How To Apply This:

Recognize how qualities and actions bind you to experience. Understanding this is the first step to transcendence.
