dve akṣare brahmapare tvanante vidyāvidye nihite yatra gūḍhe | kṣaraṃ tvavidyā hyamṛtaṃ tu vidyā vidyāvidye īśate yastu so\'nyaḥ ||
"In the infinite, supreme Brahman, two things are hidden: knowledge and ignorance. Ignorance leads to the perishable, knowledge to the immortal. He who rules over both is another - distinct from them."
What This Means:
In Brahman, both knowledge and ignorance exist. Ignorance leads to mortality, knowledge to immortality. But the Lord who controls both is beyond them.
Going Deeper:
This establishes the three principles: perishable (kshara), imperishable knowledge (akshara), and the Lord (Ishvara) who transcends both. Compare with Gita 15.16-18.
How To Apply This:
Recognize that both knowledge and ignorance exist within the Divine plan. Seek the One who transcends both.
