Shvetashvatara Upanishad 4.11Famous
intermediate
एको वशी सर्वभूतान्तरात्मा एकं रूपं बहुधा यः करोति। तमात्मस्थं येऽनुपश्यन्ति धीरास्तेषां सुखं शाश्वतं नेतरेषाम्॥
eko vaśī sarvabhūtāntarātmā ekaṃ rūpaṃ bahudhā yaḥ karoti | tamātmasthaṃ ye\'nupaśyanti dhīrāsteṣāṃ sukhaṃ śāśvataṃ netareṣām ||
"The one Controller, the inner Self of all beings, who makes His one form into many - the wise who perceive Him seated in the Self, to them belongs eternal bliss, not to others."
What This Means:
The one God dwelling in all takes one form and makes it many. Wise people who see Him within themselves gain eternal bliss. Others do not.
Going Deeper:
This mirrors Katha 5.12: bliss belongs only to those who perceive the one-in-many within themselves. External seeking fails.
How To Apply This:
Look within to find the One who has become many. Eternal happiness comes from this inner vision, not from external pursuit.
