eko hi rudro na dvitīyāya tasthurya imāṃllokānīśata īśanībhiḥ | pratyaṅjanāṃstiṣṭhati sañcukocāntakāle saṃsṛjya viśvā bhuvanāni gopāḥ ||

"Rudra is indeed one; there is no place for a second. He rules these worlds with His ruling powers. He stands facing beings. Having created all the worlds, He, their protector, withdraws them at the end of time."

What This Means:

There is only one Rudra - no second. He rules all worlds, faces all beings, creates them, protects them, and at the end, withdraws them into Himself.

Going Deeper:

This is a strong assertion of monotheism: Rudra alone exists as the supreme principle. Creation, preservation, and dissolution are His activities.

How To Apply This:

There is only one Lord - Rudra. He creates, sustains, and dissolves all. Know this one without a second.
