"In the city of nine gates, the embodied one (hamsa) sports outward. He is the controller of the whole world - both the moving and the stationary."

What This Means:

In the body with nine openings, the soul (hamsa-swan) moves outward. It is the master of the whole world - all that moves and all that is still.

Going Deeper:

The nine gates are the body's openings. The hamsa (soul/Self) plays in this body-city. As Atman, it is master of all creation.

How To Apply This:

Your body is a city with nine gates. The Self within is master of the moving and unmoving world.
