तान्होवाचैतावदेवाहमेतत्परं ब्रह्म वेद नातः परमस्तीति॥

tānhovācaitāvaddevāhametatparaṃ brahma veda nātaḥ paramastīti ||

"The sage said to them: "This much indeed I know of the supreme Brahman. There is nothing higher than this.""

What This Means:

Pippalada concludes: This is my complete knowledge of Brahman. Nothing is higher than what I have taught.

Going Deeper:

The teacher humbly states the extent of his knowledge while affirming that this knowledge reaches the ultimate. Nothing transcends Brahman.

How To Apply This:

Accept that some teachers have reached the highest. Receive their teaching with gratitude and practice it.
