एष हि द्रष्टा स्प्रष्टा श्रोता घ्राता रसयिता मन्ता बोद्धा कर्ता विज्ञानात्मा पुरुषः। स परेऽक्षर आत्मनि सम्प्रतिष्ठते॥
eṣa hi draṣṭā spraṣṭā śrotā ghrātā rasayitā mantā boddhā kartā vijñānātmā puruṣaḥ | sa pare'kṣara ātmani sampratiṣṭhate ||
""For this is the seer, toucher, hearer, smeller, taster, thinker, knower, doer - the conscious person. This rests in the supreme, imperishable Self.""
What This Means:
The individual self - the one who sees, hears, thinks, acts - is really the conscious person (Purusha). This rests in the supreme, unchanging Self.
Going Deeper:
The jiva (individual soul) is established in Atman (supreme Self). The perceiving subject finds its ground in the imperishable reality.
How To Apply This:
You, the experiencer of all experiences, rest in something even deeper - the imperishable Self.
