एषोऽग्निस्तपत्येष सूर्य एष पर्जन्यो मघवानेष वायुः। एष पृथिवी रयिर्देवः सदसच्चामृतं च यत्॥

eṣo'gnistapathyeṣa sūrya eṣa parjanyo maghavāneṣa vāyuḥ | eṣa pṛthivī rayirdevaḥ sadasaccāmṛtaṃ ca yat ||

""This Prana is the fire that heats, the sun, the rain-god, Indra, the wind. It is the earth, matter, the divine - what exists and what does not, and the immortal.""

What This Means:

The hymn to Prana begins: Prana is everything - fire, sun, rain, wind, earth. It is existence, non-existence, and the immortal.

Going Deeper:

Prana is identified with all cosmic forces. It is both the manifest universe and the unmanifest, pointing to its identity with Brahman.

How To Apply This:

See Prana everywhere - in fire, wind, rain. The same life-force that breathes in you breathes in the universe.
