"One who performs oblations in these shining flames at the proper times - these offerings carry him on the rays of the sun to where dwells the one lord of the gods."
What This Means:
Proper fire sacrifice at the right times carries the performer to heaven via the sun's rays, to the realm of Indra.
Going Deeper:
This describes the "path of the gods" (devayana) - good karma leads to heavenly realms via the solar path.
How To Apply This:
Sincere practice done properly does produce results. The path of action leads to higher realms.
