"One whose fire sacrifice is without the new moon rite, full moon rite, four-monthly rites, harvest rite, without guests, without offerings, without the Vishvadeva rite, or performed improperly - it destroys his seven worlds."
What This Means:
Improper ritual performance doesn't just fail - it brings negative results. All the required elements must be present.
Going Deeper:
This shows ritual's double-edged nature: done properly it elevates, done improperly it harms. High stakes for ritual performers.
How To Apply This:
If you commit to a practice, do it fully and properly. Half-hearted efforts can be worse than none.
