"As a spider sends forth and draws in its thread, as plants grow on the earth, as hair grows from a living person - so from the Imperishable arises everything here."

What This Means:

Three beautiful metaphors for creation: the spider creates from itself, plants emerge from earth, hair grows from a person. Similarly, the universe emerges from Brahman.

Going Deeper:

These metaphors show creation is not separate from the creator. The world emerges from Brahman like web from spider - made of the creator's own substance.

How To Apply This:

The universe is not separate from its source. You are not separate from that source.
