Paraphrase of Maitri Upaniṣad 1.4

"When it is known that Time is the dryer-up of all this world, what use are the enjoyments of desire?"

What This Means:

Since Time destroys everything in this world, what is the value of temporary pleasures?

Going Deeper:

Time (Kala) is the great destroyer - understanding impermanence leads to seeking the timeless.

How To Apply This:

Everything you chase will be taken by time - seek what is beyond time.
