उपनिषदं भो ब्रूहीत्युक्ता त उपनिषद् ब्राह्मीं वाव त उपनिषदमब्रूमेति ॥

upaniṣadaṁ bho brūhīty uktā ta upaniṣad brāhmīṁ vāva ta upaniṣadam abrūmeti ||

""Sir, teach me the Upanishad (the secret doctrine)!" "The Upanishad has been told to you. We have indeed taught you the Upanishad concerning Brahman.""

What This Means:

The student asks for the secret teaching. The teacher replies: it's already been given. The entire dialogue about Brahman being the power behind all powers, the story of the gods, Uma's revelation — this IS the Upanishad.

Going Deeper:

There is no secret beyond what has been revealed. The teaching is not hidden in some final formula — it's been unfolding throughout. Often we want a "secret" beyond the teaching, not realizing the teaching itself is the secret.

How To Apply This:

Are you waiting for some final secret that will unlock everything? Perhaps you've already received what you need. The teaching is here. The mystery is present. What's required is recognition, not more information.
