एष हि खलु आत्मा यो अयं प्रज्ञानघन एष प्राणः।
eṣa hi khalu ātmā yo ayaṃ prajñānaghana eṣa prāṇaḥ |
"This indeed is the Self - this mass of pure consciousness, this Prana."

The Self is described as a solid mass of consciousness - the same as the life force.
