Kaushitaki Upanishad 3.7
beginner
आयुर्वै प्राणः प्राणो वा आयुः यावद्ध्यस्मिञ्शरीरे प्राणो वसति तावदायुः।
āyurvai prāṇaḥ prāṇo vā āyuḥ yāvaddhyasmiñśarīre prāṇo vasati tāvadāyuḥ |
"Life is Prana, and Prana is life. As long as Prana dwells in this body, so long there is life."
What This Means:
Life and breath are inseparable - life exists as long as the life force remains in the body.
Going Deeper:
This points to the mystery of life - what makes a body alive? It is the presence of conscious energy.
How To Apply This:
Honor the life force in yourself and others - it is sacred and mysterious.
