तेषां प्राणैः पूर्वपक्षे आपूर्यते, अपरपक्षे प्रजनयति।
teṣāṃ prāṇaiḥ pūrvapakṣe āpūryate, aparapakṣe prajanayati |
"By their life-breaths, the moon waxes in the bright fortnight; in the dark fortnight, it projects them for rebirth."
What This Means:
The moon waxes from receiving departing souls and wanes as it sends them back for rebirth.
Going Deeper:
This cosmic imagery shows the moon as a gateway between worlds - receiving souls and dispensing them according to their karma.
How To Apply This:
Contemplate how natural cycles might mirror spiritual realities beyond our ordinary perception.
